Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Snowmaking Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the snowmaking manager to meet Deer Valley's snowmaking objectives through effective management of staff and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in daily snowmaking, equipment assignments, and mountain inspections.
* Assist in overseeing snowmaking contractors and mentor the DV team
* Assist in maintenance and operation of all snowmaking machines and equipment
* Oversee summer maintenance of snow guns
* Mentor and develop staff on the snowmaking team
* Assist in developing departmental safety and risk management policies and techniques
* Effectively perform and supervise the snow removal plan
* Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A minimum of two seasons at Deer Valley as a snowmaker required
* Ability to use all Deer Valley snowmaking equipment
* Mechanical aptitude of snowmaking equipment
* Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive snowmobiles, snow cats, heavy equipment, and other vehicles.
