Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to manage patient accounts and billing functions for our specialized ENT, Audiology, and Allergy Clinic. In this solo role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate claims resolution, maintaining financial records, and facilitating the billing process, all while providing exceptional service to patients and insurance providers. Primary Responsibilities
- Payment Posting: Accurately post daily payments to patient accounts.
- Claims Resolution: Resolve outstanding or denied claims by working with insurance providers.
- Insurance Correspondence: Communicate with insurance companies to address issues and secure payments.
- Patient Financial Responsibility: Inform patients of their out-of-pocket costs (co-pays, deductibles, etc.).
- Billing & Collections: Manage billing, collections, and payment plan negotiations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all billing tasks meet industry standards and regulations.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Audiology and Allergy Clinic departments to ensure accurate billing.
- Patient Support: Address patient billing inquiries with clear information.

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical billing and insurance claim processing within a healthcare office setting.
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Medical Billing Certification or related degree preferred.
- Knowledge: Proficient in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) and insurance plans (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for dealing with insurance companies and patients.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
