The Front Office Supervisor job duties and responsibilities are to include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and welcome all guests and visitors in a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner, fostering guest loyalty.
- Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures while providing optimal level of service and hospitality to all guests.
- Satisfactorily resolve guests' complaints and problems and provide a fast solution. Escalate unresolvable claims to the Front Office Manager in a timely matter.
- Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.
- Integrates and trains employees, providing support for skills development.
- Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events.
- Ensures that guest documentation and information is available and up to date.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to upsell room types and other options to increase occupancy and revenue.
- To understand how to utilize software related to Hotel operations.
- To be able to execute hotel emergency procedures, and provide calm, reassuring assistance to guests and fellow employees in the event of an emergency.
- Oversees the cash and credit transactions and Follows all policies and procedures per hotel guidelines.
- Offers assistance with luggage to all hotel guests.
- Ensures the delivers amenities, mail, and other items to guests’ rooms.
- Communicate with all departments in a friendly and professional manner.
- Be aware of current hotel and local attractions and restaurants to make recommendations to guests.
- Use clear and complete communication to Front Office Director to ensure smooth flow of Front Desk operations.
- Other duties and cross training as assigned by Front Office Director.
- Must comply with Company’s Appearance and Dress Code policy at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Demonstrate motivating and inspiring skills to lead team members.
- Detail oriented and organizational skills
- Trustworthy, reliable and a team player
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
Working Conditions
- Spends equal amounts of time indoors and outdoors on daily basis.
- Indoor Conditions: temperature controlled, well-lighted and clean offices, guests’ rooms, public areas; walks on all types of surfaces including, but not limited to: tile, wood, carpet. Some surfaces may be slippery when wet.
- Outdoor Conditions: exposure to varying weather conditions in non-sheltered areas. Walking required on all types of surfaces including, but not limited to: cement, tile, and pavement. Some surfaces may be slippery when wet.
Physical Demands
- Stands and walks moderate to long distances throughout shift.
- Frequent requirements to handle, lift and move objects up to 100lbs, over moderate to long distances, using appropriate carts.
- Bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting required to perform routine job tasks.
- Frequently required to work at a very fast pace and under pressure.
