Learning and Development Program Specialist

This Is What You’ll Do:

  • Program Delivery:
    • Support the delivery of engaging and effective live and virtual training sessions
    • Prepare training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online content
    • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technology tools to schedule and manage programs
    • Set up and configure virtual learning environments
    • Ensure pre-work is distributed and completed
    • Produce virtual live events by hosting the webinar, setting up breakouts, launching polls and quizzes, managing the clock, and recording sessions
  • Program Coordination:
    • Manage the learning calendar and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely program delivery
    • Handle program correspondence and communications
    • Track and report on program metrics and outcomes
    • Distribute, collect, and compile learning experience evaluations
  • Trainer Support:
    • Manage the Train-the-Trainer program logistics and support qualified trainers
    • Ensures OPI has a pool of qualified and effective internal and external trainers to sustain our leadership development programs
    • Participate in communities of practice to foster knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Content Curation Management:
    • Manage the curated video tutorials and other digital learning assets as needed to support learning design in collaboration with Learning Experience Designers and Leadership Development Manager

This Is What It Takes: 

  • Bachelor's degree human resource development or related field
  • Proven experience in learning and development, including virtual classroom production and training delivery
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and other technology tools (e.g., WebEx, Cornerstone)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for learning and development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management and/or program management
  • Experience with learning program event coordination
  • Experience with online content provider platforms
