The Dallas office of Baker Botts L.L.P. has an opening for a temporary Recruiting Intern from May 2025 - August 2025. The Recruiting Intern, under the supervision of the Dallas Recruiting Manager, will support the summer associate and fall recruiting programs, lawyer on-boarding and off-boarding, and special projects. Additionally, the intern will play a key role in supporting our Austin and Bay Area recruiting programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage administrative tasks for the Recruiting Manager including:
- Maintaining recruiting database, applicant tracking, processing all expense requests, generating all correspondence, statistical reporting and other duties as assigned.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of all aspects of the Summer Associate Program including on-boarding/off-boarding, work assignments and evaluations, advisor programs, budget tracking, and event planning and attendance.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of all aspects of the fall and spring law school on-campus interviews.
- Assisting with coordinating callback interviews and the offer process.
- Assisting with entry level associate on-boarding/off-boarding/status changes.
- Assisting with lateral hiring on an as needed basis.
- Assist with any other tasks and special projects assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required, some college courses preferred.
- A minimum of six months experience in a legal or professional services office environment is required.
- Strong technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Client Service Orientation: must have exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

- Ability to handle confidential information.

Working Conditions and Environment
- This is a 37.5-hour per week non-exempt position and due to the nature of the position some evening and weekend work is required. The physical demands of the position are minimal.

- Must be able to routinely lift and carry items weighing 5-10 pounds.
- Must be able to work at a computer for considerable periods of time.
- Position requires extensive telephone use.
- Must be able to lift, squat, kneel and bend.
- Position requires the ability to visit face-to-face and on the phone with summer associates, lawyers, caterers, and event planners.
