Duties
As a TRAINING SPECIALIST (COURSE MANAGER) you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide course instruction in support of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency's Security Academy.
- Prepare and present written and verbal information for decision briefings and reviews, in collaboration with the Curriculum Manager for Branch Chief's approval.
- Develop and implement instructional materials curricula with a security area of focus; understand, disseminate and translate difficult, complex, and/or ambiguous regulations, procedures, and policy into learning objectives and easily understood concepts for students and stakeholders.
- Serve as a functional expert in training product development, course administration, course facilitation, and learner engagement; participate in curriculum reviews and evaluations adapting curricula to established technology-based platforms, methods and techniques.
- Serve as a functional expert for assigned learning management systems, or virtual learning environments; facilitate discussions; administer practical exercises and collaborative activities to improve learning outcomes; manage in-person and virtual learning experiences.
- Serve as functional expert for interdisciplinary security or any of the following: counterintelligence, cybersecurity, entity vetting, industrial security, information security, insider threat, personnel vetting, personnel security, physical security, and special access programs.
