Job Summary
The Defense Finance and Accounting Service is seeking a skilled Financial Management Expert to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing programs and processes to ensure efficient and compliant execution of financial management resources.
You will prepare and deliver briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to influence managers and others to accept findings and recommendations. Your expertise in assessing reports from internal and external sources will enable you to develop formalized recommendations for management's consideration.
Additional responsibilities include evaluating operations, policies, procedures, and internal controls of financial operations to prevent and detect deficiencies in the operation of financial management areas. You will also receive special projects pertaining to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of financial management operations and related functional requirements.
