Immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Los Angeles, CA who possesses:
- 7 years experience in Defense or Aerospace manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
- Experienced with cable assembly and interconnecting products
- Previous Management experience

FULL DESCRIPTION:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Produce work instructions for cable assemblies and electro-mechanical devices that the production and quality team can easily interpret and minimize any possible incorrect assembly practices.
- Provide prompt response to the production floor's questions Update travelers' redlines in an organized manner.
- Thoroughly check other engineers' travelers and BOMs.
- Request department assistance and manager assistance immediately and document issues when they arise via e-mail.
- Possess an outlook of continuous improvement to minimize production errors.
- Possess leadership capabilities for organizing complex projects as well as updating managers daily on project issues.
- Coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting materials, tools, work pieces, and products, such as metal stock, gauges, machine parts, and assembled units for conformance to specifications, products, inspection instruments, and procedures. Interpret Mechanical drawings.
- Tool Design, Make & Maintenance, Fabrication, Paint and Assembly Processes and Techniques.
- Responsible for day to day operations to include cost, schedule, quality performance, customer relations and manpower requirements for tooling and some fabrication areas.
- Monitor changes in company policies, engineering design and industry technology improvements. Prepare and coordinate program plans, quotes, proposals, schedules & budgets.
- Maintain open lines of communication with management and customer personnel. Create job travelers.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings Produce technical drawings
- Good spatial analysis Technical background
- Familiar with military standards
- 5 years' experience in the manufacturing of cable and electro-mechanical assemblies Produce work instructions
- Experience of aerospace engineering Experience of electrical engineering
- Experience of a manufacturing environment
- Drawing Autocad / Visio
- Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint,
- Adobe Acrobat, Image Manipulation Software
- Degree or equivalent experience in technical field (science/engineering)
- Any on-the job training that has been received in previous positions should be taken into account
- Possesses an outlook of continuous improvement to minimize production errors
- Possesses leadership capabilities for organizing complex projects as well as updating managers daily on project issues
Salary Range: $100-130K/year
