Title: Manufacturing Engineer Manager
Summary of Position
This role is part of the manufacturing engineering department and focuses on developing production plans for manufacturing work orders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Develop clear and precise work instructions for cable assemblies and electro-mechanical devices to ensure accurate production.
- Provide timely responses to production floor inquiries.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date redlines for travelers.
- Conduct thorough reviews of engineering travelers and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Document and escalate issues promptly via email.
- Continuously seek process improvements to minimize production errors.
- Exhibit leadership in managing complex projects and regularly updating management on progress.
- Oversee inspection activities to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Interpret mechanical drawings accurately.
- Manage tool design, fabrication, paint, assembly processes, and maintenance.
- Ensure daily operations meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Stay current with company policies, engineering design changes, and industry advancements.
- Prepare and manage program plans, quotes, proposals, schedules, and budgets.
- Maintain open communication with both management and customers.
- Create job travelers for manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in producing technical drawings and work instructions.
- Excellent spatial analysis and technical aptitude.
- Familiarity with military standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing cable and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Background in aerospace and electrical engineering.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Software Proficiency:
- Design Tools: AutoCAD, Visio
- Office Applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Other Tools: Adobe Acrobat, Image Manipulation Software

- Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (science/engineering).
