Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and experienced Kitchen and Cabinet Designer to join our expanding team. This role involves working closely with clients to design kitchens and cabinets that align with their needs and preferences, providing expert guidance, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and willing to grow with us, taking on new skills and responsibilities as our company continues to expand.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings to discuss kitchen and cabinet design and planning.
- Collaborate with the company owner to conduct in-home evaluations and provide accurate project quotes.
- Measure kitchen dimensions and create CAD designs with precision, delivering renderings promptly.
- Communicate with clients to review, update, and finalize designs as needed.
- Process all cabinet orders through the online ordering system.
- Assist with sales initiatives and work with the office manager to promote the company’s kitchen design and cabinetry services, including creating ads and social media content.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, distributors, and other industry contacts.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company owner and office manager.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with design/CAD software (2020 Design Live experience preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Open-minded and receptive to feedback, with an eagerness to learn and grow.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma required.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to receive and follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools (e.g., speed square, tool belt) and tape measure use down to a 16th of an inch is a plus.
- Diplomacy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with coworkers and clients.
Compensation: Negotiable; based on experience.
