As a Workers’ Compensation Attorney, you’ll play a key role in handling complex and challenging matters, representing a broad range of clients, and making a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of workers’ compensation defense matters, including employer liability claims and third-party subrogation.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement documents.
- Represent clients in administrative hearings, court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.
- Provide strategic legal counsel and guidance to clients on case valuation and litigation strategy.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop creative, effective litigation strategies.
- Stay current on Louisiana workers’ compensation laws and relevant case law developments.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
- 5 years of relevant litigation experience, with a strong background in workers’ compensation defense.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
