Position Description : We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll Specialist committed to process improvement.

Compensation : The pay rate for the Payroll Specialist, across the listed offices, generally ranges between $75,000 and $100,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to pay transparency laws. Actual pay rates will be based on various factors, including location, company geographic differentials, education level and candidate qualifications.

Job Summary : This role works across Human Resources and Accounting, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while managing payroll-related benefits, incentive compensation programs and payments, and 401(k) administration.
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll Management :
- Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees. Meet payroll cycle deadlines and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Set up new hires and terminations in the accounting system.
- Handle payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee inquiries efficiently and effectively.
- Reconcile monthly payroll Journals with total salary and payroll expenses to the master control payroll register and General Ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate records, including timekeeping data, tax withholdings, and other deductions.
- Participate in monthly and annual payroll close activities. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including W-2 and 1099 forms.
