Snow Laborer Position Description
Position will be on call from November - March. Using shovels, snow blowers, ATV's, Sweepers, and other types of mechanical equipment, the sidewalk snow laborer will remove snow from the sidewalks and external entrances of clients’ properties. Work is primarily performed before businesses open to ensure that safe travel is made available for employees and patrons.
Snow Laborer Responsibilities
- Assist in clearing and maintaining proper pathways to and from buildings. Work outdoors in all types of weather
- Maintain equipment by performing the maintenance or reporting those needs to your supervisor
- Fill out logs for completed work
Snow Laborer Requirements
- Complete training and pass an exam on safety and proper snow removal. Training is compensated
- Reliable transportation. Driver's License a plus
- Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, willing and able to work extended hours in hazardous weather conditions
- Lifting of 50 pounds may be necessary
- Attention to detail is key as safety is our top priority
