What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal laborer position at Tooele County?
Job Description :
The ideal applicant will maintain general care and maintenance of Tooele County Parks and Recreation grounds. You will be working on some fun events such as the demolition derby, county fair, rodeos, and Country Fan Fest.
Example of Duties :
- Operate a variety of equipment and tools such as landscaping equipment, hand tools power tools, and a riding lawnmower.
- Clean floors, empty trash receptacles, and clean and stock restrooms.
- May paint equipment and structures used by the public.
- Ability to lift and set up chairs, tables, and other devices for special events.
- Ability to perform heavy labor for extensive periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold and dust.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or heavier.
- Will work on special events as needed.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally nights.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must be at least 17 years old and have one year of driving experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
This position requires a valid driver's license and that you've had it for at least 12 months for insurance purposes. Knowledge of the hazards and safety practices common to building construction, maintenance, and repair activities.
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
