The role of this position is to provide engineering support to assist in the upfitting of class 1-8 commercial vehicles. This involves developing solutions for technical problems to assist Engineering and Operations. Job responsibilities include working from drawings to assemble, build, and test parts & fixtures, providing support for the installation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, and assisting with building prototypes and proof of concept time measurement studies.
The successful candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability, mathematical proficiency, and knowledge of 3D CAD software and Microsoft products. They should be able to use a variety of small hand and power tools in a safe manner and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to wear required PPE and work safely with heavy equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, & electrical systems is necessary.
This position requires a combination of education and experience, preferably an associate's degree in engineering or four to seven years of progressive experience in a related field.
