What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biocompatibility Test Engineer- Internship- Summer 2025 position at DEKA Research & Development?
How you will make an impact as a Biocompatibility Test Engineer Intern:
- As a part of the Biocompatibility and Sterility (BSET) Team, you will focus on the biocompatibility
- and toxicological evaluation of designs required for regulatory approvals and patient safety.
- Develop a knowledge of applicable external standards and regulatory requirements for the
- biological safety of medical devices and mentor the development of this knowledge in others.
- Utilize problem solving skills and technical knowledge to assist in the design and implementation of
- effective biocompatibility and sterilization testing strategies.
- Assist the BSET Team in developing material and toxicological databases for wider use within DEKA R&D.
- Currently enrolled in a BS degree in an engineering or scientific discipline such as Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Microbiology
- Experience with working in a lab setting using good laboratory practice (GLP)
- Attention to detail necessary to maintain the required documentation
- Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment.
