What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alternative Education English Teacher position at DeKalb County Regional Office of Education?
This is a permenent full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year. One would be teaching various levels and electives to students from grades 7 to 12. Most of the students are of high school age, in KEC's alternative education program. The majority of the students are recommended for our program for credit recovery, while others are placed for disciplinary reasons. Class sizes range from 8 to 20 students, in a traditional seven period school day. Teachers are on a 180 day work assignment, and the calendar is similar to the school districts, in DeKalb County.
