Internal Communications Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our Sales and Marketing team at Moran Towing Corporation. This is a hybrid role that will require you to work in the office 3 days per week.
Job Summary:
The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing an internal communications strategy that drives employee engagement and connectivity across our diverse lines of business. This role will manage the internal communications program for Moran and will join a growing marketing communications team, reporting into the Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal communications strategies and plans that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Create and manage digital content for internal communications, including newsletters, intranet, email, announcements, and other communications.
- Plan and execute on key internal events, both in-person and virtual.
- Design and produce internal communications materials, such as graphics, blog posts, video, and presentations.
- Monitor and analyze current campaign performance and iteratively improve.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams like HR and IT to ensure communications strategy is aligned to overall business objectives.
- Engage with senior leadership team to develop strategy for sharing of pertinent information with the larger organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in communications (internal focus preferred), marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in developing an internal communications strategy for an organization, as well as execution on the strategy.
- Understanding of how to leverage digital and physical internal communications channels to reach a workforce that includes fully in-person, hybrid, and fully remote employees.
- Highly organized, with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems.
- Able to both collaborate on projects and drive initiatives forward independently.
- Experience in working with internal stakeholders like HR and executive leadership.
