Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide assistance in direct student recruiting, student assessing, student mentoring, and support grant students in gaining professional success to include assisting in placement and job retention.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Assist in the coordination and implementation of outreach and recruitment strategies for the integrated career pathway program.
Track student attendance, behavior, and progress for required THECB reports.
Refer students to network of campus and community service providers.
Establish positive and trusting relationships with students.
Assist in the coordination and/or supportive services to support academic persistence and success.
Connect students to college admission processes, including financial aid, academic advising, and academic and student support services.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
One (1) year of experience in coordinating education programs.
Experience in supporting at-risk populations and managing multiple student support activities and coordinating referrals to community partners.

Strong team orientation with good time management skills.
Ability to focus and keep deadlines.
Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
Ability to problem solve.

Contributes to program success by developing, implementing and coordinating activities to support students in various educational programs and at-risk populations to transition to on-campus career pathways. Assist students in applying for financial support. Document student contact and maintain accurate files in accordance with FERPA guidelines.

Assures a professional environment is maintained at all times and serve as role model for grant students. Facilitate student success by creating peer networks. Foster student accountability, self-advocacy, self-awareness, and effective use of resources. Solicit student feedback on and experience with career pathways program. Assist grant participants and college grant partners as necessary and appropriate. Respond appropriately to requests and inquiries from participants, potential participants, affiliated organizations, other educational organizations, grant partners, etc. in timely fashion. Maintain student records and responsible for completing and submitting grant reports to Senior Director.
Job Duty
Actively outreach and recruit potential candidates and employers. Flexibility working in dynamic environments where immediate response may be important. Ability to re-organize priorities. Travel between campuses to work with students/instructors. Flexibility in working evenings to accommodate student’s schedules.

Extensive case management and student guidance and advising. Including assisting students with career research and planning. Monitor and track student progress and meet with students regarding academic achievement. Contributes to program success by developing, implementing and coordinating activities to support students in various educational programs and at-risk populations to transition to on-campus career pathways. Assist students in applying for a variety of technical program grants and financial support.
Job Duty
Aid staff in assuring quality delivery of scheduled grant classes (both credit and continuing-professional development) by supporting instructors at assigned site or campus on a weekly basis. Travel between campuses to work with students/instructors. Flexibility in working evenings to accommodate student’s schedules.
