Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist and provide clerical or direct support to the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.
The Office Assistant will be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office. They will handle incoming phone calls and other communications, greet clients and visitors, manage electronic files, update paperwork and other documents, and perform other general office clerk duties.The Office Assistant must be a self-motivated learner and an efficient problem solver.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalency.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills.
Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and complies with Del Mar College policies/procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint, and highly proficient in Excel.
Knowledge of office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, etc.
Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks.
