Job Description Summary
This position will support the Studio Art Program by assisting in all specialty and foundation studio classrooms, plus the Cain Gallery programming. This includes but is not limited to, taking a role in the smooth operation of the ART facility at Del Mar College.
Duties include supervising open lab hours, assist with managing inventory, assist with maintaining equipment, assist with maintaining labs and Cain Gallery, installing Artworks, and successfully assisting and working with students & faculty.

This position will require time spent in Studio Arts Labs. It will require moving and lifting of supplies, materials, and equipment. It will also require close contact with hazardous dusts and supplies.
The responsibilities described represent the primary responsibilities of the job. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as warranted by business needs. The incumbent is expected to do all assigned responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in an Art-related discipline.
Current or prior work experience in an Art-related field.

Must have experience in multiple aspects of Arts Studio operation, including, but not limited to:
Must be familiar with Studio Arts techniques and process.
Art Studio Safety Management and Practice.
Art Studio Organization and Management.

Clerical & organizational skills.
Evidence of reliability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., bend over repeatedly.

Uninstalling and repacking of artworks.
Maintain and work with the Gallery Coordinator and Administrative assistant to organize all.
