Job Overview
This position performs a variety of carpentry services and setup of the San Diego County Fair.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Using carpentry skills to build and install exhibit walls and display panels.
- Forklift certification will be provided if needed.
- Be proficient in the use of power equipment including circular saws, drills, etc.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Performs building maintenance tasks that pertain to carpentry.
- Assists and other trades when needed. (i.e., Plumbers, Electricians, Maintenance Workers, etc.).
- Practices good physical work methods, utilizes good work habits, and meets established production standards.
- Wears proper personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, googles) and always works in a safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience in carpentry.
- Excellent customer service and ability to work cooperatively with team members and others.
Working Conditions
- Work is indoors and outdoors.
- Outdoor work may involve some exposure to weather conditions.
- Expose to farm animals, dust, dirt, and unpleasant odors.
- Moves objects at least 30 pounds.
- Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Salary : $24
