POSITION PURPOSE
Supports the daily processes of the Consumer Lending department to ensure accuracy and completion of securing or releasing Del-One’s lien position for vehicle and real estate secured consumer loans. Ensures compliance with relevant state and federal lending laws. Professionally assists and serve members, Del-One teammates, and dealer partners.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Protects Del-One’s assets by managing the title and deed recording processes.
- Prepares all documents, and works closely with DMV, record liens on motor vehicles; obtains duplicate titles, coordinates with collections for repossessions and sale titles, and replaces defaced titles when required. Researches and resolves issues with other financial institutions and dealers to obtain titles for lien placement.
- Reports on delinquent titles weekly. Monitors Vehicle Title Tracking Report and title portfolio report from Wolters Kluwer/DDI. Actively researches and obtains titles associated with vehicle loans seasoned 90 days.
- Research accounts and ensure auto and/or home equity loan(s) paid in full are updated in Credit Union core system with a release date.
- Requests titles for paid off loans to be released to the appropriate party and ensures consumer real estate liens are satisfied with the appropriate state and county office.
- Manages monthly report to confirm all Home Equity “wet signature” notes are received and filed securely. Maintains integrity of Home Equity lien/note filing system and area security requirements.
- Track and verify flood insurance on Home Equity loan properties in flood plains.
- Manages vendor relationships, communication, and SLAs with title management and title ordering provider.
- Perform daily quality control of retail vehicle loan funding packages to ensure document compliance.
- Maximizes technological efficiencies within area of responsibility.
- Support the credit union's sales and service culture through behaviors.
- Understands complete loan cycle from application to origination, including loan documents, where signatures are needed and what required loan documents are needed for closing, along with understanding of the loan types.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- General knowledge of Credit Union consumer loan products and services
- Understanding of loan interview procedures
- Retail lending concepts and principles
- knowledgeable of applicable DMV titling rules and requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience with a full-service financial institution helpful
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Good organization skills and attentive to detail

- Able to operate related computer applications and related business equipment
