What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Coordinator position at Del Real Foods?
A. **PURPOSE
Under general supervision of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, the EHS Coordinator supports all team members to maintain a safe and healthy work environment through the education and training of new and current employees in compliance with company’s safe processes and policies, and state and federal regulations. The EHS Coordinator also supports the EHS Manager in the development and implementation of safety programs, practices, and procedures that will reduce the frequency and severity of accidents in all working areas, and supporting regulatory compliance. The EHS Coordinator requires strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to deliver training to small and large groups.
B. **DUTIES
General Overall Duties (1-18 listed below)
- Extensive Knowledge on: Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, Motivational Programs, etc
- Follows and enforces employee’s safety procedures
- Follow, Monitor, and Enforce all food safety procedures
- Follows and enforces SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, and ETC)
- Follows and enforces USDA & FDA guidelines and regulations.
- Follow Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies
Position / Area Duties
- Develop and Conduct training on Company Safety & Health Programs.
- Develop, maintain and communicate training calendar for all required training.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness.
- Provide training based on Job position need for example SOP’s, Safety, Food Safety, etc.
- Main Administrator of Learning Management System (Alchemy). Responsible for content creation, data management, and recordkeeping.
- Organize and develop or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials to develop new training material for team members
- Design, plan, organize, and direct safety orientation and training for new hires.
- Schedule classes based on employees’ schedules and availability of classrooms, and equipment.
- Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs, or to inform management of training program status.
- Drive continuous improvements to ensure applicable employees stay current on processes, procedures, standards, policies, and training for assigned job.
- Works closely with production floor supervisors to support and fulfill training materials needs
- Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by EHS Manager

C. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or equivalent
- A minimum of one year of experience in related industry

- Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and motivational skills required.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate with in-depth knowledge of MS office, web based systems, and visual aids technology.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
