Job Title: Director of Operations

Reporting to: VP of Operations
Summary/ Objective
The Director of Operations will assume a strategic role in the overall leadership, management and positioning of the company’s operations to support growth and drive continuous improvement and is responsible for operational departments including: production, quality, supply chain, cost savings initiatives and ensuring maintains strict compliance with all regulatory agencies. This person will also have full site responsibility for management of all administrative functions at the site who may have dotted line responsibility to corporate office.

- Follow and enforce all company rules of conduct including but not limited to; Attendance and punctuality, lunch and breaks, Safety, Food Safety/SQF, GMP’s, SOP’s, HACCP, CCP’s, CP’s, etc.
- Provide leadership to all on site department to meet or exceed the Safety, Food Safety/SQF, Quality, Customer service, Productivity and cost expectations
- Ensures product is manufactured within Food Safety/SQF, USDA, FDA, Quality and Cost-effective.
- Develop the annual Facility budget and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing; monitor and report on performance against the plan throughout the year.
- Distribute daily workloads to the plant supervisors and/or department leads.
- Establish departmental goals for all areas of responsibility that build up and support the manufacturing plan and track the progress; develop programs to meet these goals and coach staff accordingly to achieve the objectives.
- Deliver cost objectives through continuous improvement program and overhead reduction.
- Responsible for developing and driving continuous process improvement as well setting up systems to track the performance.
- Assist in the development and formulation of long- and short-range planning, programs and objectives.
- Formulate and recommend programs that maintain and improve the competitive position and the profitability of the manufacturing process
- Establish and implement best practices in hiring, training, developing and evaluating staff.
- Institute systems and procedures to set in place the foundation required to keep pace with the Company’s high growth and business strategy.
- Appropriately institute production systems automation and quality standards that enhance the product and the Company’s high quality position.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or similar field
LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5-10 years Operations Management experience preferred
