We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Duties
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to record financial transactions and generate reports.
- Collaborate with the public accounting team during audits and tax preparation processes.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy retrieval and review.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial software and accounting systems is essential.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes, journal entries, and tax regulations is a plus.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role.
