What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Installer position at Del Sol Energy of Nevada Inc?
Installers are integral members of a solar installation at Del Sol Energy. Installers work under close supervision to perform a wide variety of tasks and operational duties. The ideal Installer is self motivated, efficient and a team player with a high attention to detail, work productivity and a genuine intention to the trade. Additionally, an Installer will strive to maintain a high level of business ethics and professional integrity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with a team to install roof mounts, racking and solar modules on roof, carport and ground mounted systems.
- Organize and maintain system components in warehouses, company vehiclesand at job sites.
- Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, trade certifications, maintenance and safety.
- Follow procedures, instructions and work orders as part of standardwork functions.
- Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Keepjob site clean and free of debris.
- Load and unload job equipment and materials from warehouse to truck to job site and back.
- Complete and submit job task lists and reporting on daily and weekly basis.
- Additional duties required as needed.
- Work on a roof, ladder, crawlspaces and attics.
- Requirements
Previous construction related and/or trades experience
Must have a great work ethic with a positive attitude.
Must show up to work on time each day in laundered, proper work attire and footwearwhile practicing good personal hygiene.
Must have a valid “Class C” California driver’s license.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must practice professional communication, including regulating interpersonal professional relationships, documentation, and in each customer engagement. Each employee is expected to maintain a professional and courteous disposition when interacting with customers and fellow employees.
Desire to constantly improve personal and professional skills.
A willingness and enthusiasm to support fellow crew members and employees when necessary.
Must be able to maintain situational awareness with a safety-oriented mentality.
Must work well in small teams and independently.
Must be willing to take required drug test and background check
Documentation of previous solar experience and skills.
Comfortable working on roofs and on ladders as well as in attics and crawlspaces. Capable to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in extreme conditions (i.e. heat, cold, wind).
Ability to pull/push/lift upto 70 lbs. multiples times in an 8-hour shift.
Owns the required hand and power tools for the job.
Must have good prioritization, organization, analytical and planning skills.
Must have a professional appearance, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be flexible, be able to adapt to new situations, have self-control and have high attention to detail.
Willingness to take direction and learn and implement new ways of completing tasks.
Must meet or exceed minimum installation productivity goals.
