Job Summary:
Delamar’s Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all hotel guests, employees, and property. This role involves monitoring the premises, addressing security risks, enforcing hotel policies, and maintaining and calm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest and Staff Safety:
· Patrol the premises to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property.
· Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and emergencies promptly and effectively.
· Provide assistant to guests and staff during emergency situations, such as evacuations or first aid instances.
- Surveillance and Monitoring:
· Monitor security cameras and alarms to detect and address security breaches or unusual activity.
· Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
- Incident Management:
· Investigate and report incidents of theft, accidents, disturbances, or suspicious behavior.
· Prepare detailed and accurate reports of incidents, accidents, and routine activities.
· Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Policy Enforcement:
· Enforce hotel policies regarding access control, noise levels, guest conduct, and restricted areas.
· Address conflicts or disturbances professionally and diplomatically.
- Security Systems & Protocols:
· Inspect and ensure all security equipment (e.g., locks, alarms, surveillance systems) is operational.
· Follow established security protocols and procedures to ensure consistent safety measures.
- Customer Service:
· Provide excellent customer service while interacting with guests, offering assistance, and answering questions.
· Handle guest concerns related to security with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent; (some college or hospitality education preferred).
· Previous experience in security, law enforcement, ,or customer service is a plus.
· Strong observational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively.
· Physical stamina to perform patrols and respond to emergencies.
· Knowledge of basic security systems and procedures.
Work Environment:
· Must be available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekend and holidays.
· Requires standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
· May involve exposure to varying weather conditions if outdoor patrolling is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.09 - $20.00 per hour
