Delaney Radiology is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Billing Refund Analyst to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating refund requests and determining whether refunds need to be issued to patients, their representatives, or insurance companies.
Candidates are required to report to the office for the initial training period, but the position has the potential to become remote once training is completed.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate credit balances on patient accounts.
- Generate and manage a weekly credit balance report.
- Research and make appropriate adjustments or refunds to accounts, issuing insurance refunds with proper documentation and approval.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of contracted insurance policies and fee schedules.
- Keep management informed of problematic trends and errors.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience and knowledge of medical insurance is required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology.
- Must possess strong communication skills, empathy, and patience.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, along with a commitment to confidentiality.
