About Us: Preservation Parks of Delaware County offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a growing park system. Our mission is to protect and conserve the natural and historical features of Delaware County while inspiring outdoor exploration and learning. As a Park Technician, you will perform a broad spectrum of tasks to help maintain our beautiful parks.

Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday
•High School required; Associates degree preferred.
•Light maintenance or construction experience preferred, preferably in a park environment.
•Valid Ohio driver’s license.
•Ability to acquire a pesticide applicator license.
•Ability to communicate professionally and has excellent customer service skills.
•Ability to operate equipment; knowledge of related safety regulations.
•Possess trust, integrity, high ethical standards, and the ability to prevent, reduce and resolve conflict.
•Ability to operate hand and power tools.
•Basic first aid and CPR.Key Responsibilities:
•Upholds and represents the Park District’s values: Integrity, Teamwork, Creativity and Stewardship.
•Maintain Park landscapes including mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, planting, pruning, and weed control.
•Performs a variety of maintenance, mechanical, and construction projects.
•Operates power tools, mowers, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
•Assists with natural resource management projects as assigned.
•Purchases materials and supplies as needed.
•Apply and document pesticide applications.
•Open and close parks and facilities.
•Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
•Performs janitorial duties to maintain clean and welcoming park spaces.
•Prepare facilities for special functions, programs, and reservations.
•Conducts snow removal.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
