Ophthalmic Technician / Optometric Technician RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ophthalmic anatomy
- Medical scribe for chart documentation
- Measure visual acuity
- Tonometry
- Refractometry
- Pupil assessment
- Administer eye drops
- Contact lenses
- Perform diagnostic testing (Auto-Refract, Auto-Lensmeter, Visual Field, OCT, etc.)
- Basic optical principles
Ophthalmic Technician / Optometric Assistant QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer one year experience in an ophthalmic setting
- Travel required to cover other satellite locations within close proximity
- Must be able to work some evening hours
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Able to stand or walk for long periods
- Punctual and present
- Basic computer and electronic medical records proficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
