Child Care Specialist

Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Child Care Specialist for our Hamden location.

Pay range $22.05 to $26.30 per hour, 35 hours per week.

The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities include, but is not limited to, conducting regular inspections of day care providers to ensure compliance with state regulations; providing technical assistance and support to child care providers on regulatory requirements and best practices as well as providing child care resource and referral services in Delaware County.

Skills required: organizational, interpersonal, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team as well as independently.

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Human Services, or Related Field or Four Years’ Experience Early Childhood Education or Community Organization. Experience in Child Care Licensing, Early Childhood Education, or a related Regulatory field is preferred. NYS Drivers’ License and personal vehicle required.
