Description
Computer Operator I is responsible for supporting all computer-related requirements to include but not limited to software, hardware, and operating system(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Use specialized computer software and / or hardware to develop, integrate and edit instructional text, audio, graphics, animation, and video for interactive presentations.
- Use appropriate programming / branching logic and screen layout and remediation / feedback techniques.
- Implement quality control and review and revision procedures throughout the courseware development process.
- Design and implement modifications to existing computer programs and software code, analyze performance of existing computer programs and software code, and take action to correct deficiencies based on input from users and other stakeholders
- Monitor the operation of computer programs and respond to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and software coding.
- Apply judgement in devising program logic and in selecting and adapting standard programming procedures.
- Solve conventional programming problems.
- Review and analyze detailed software program specifications.
- Work independently under specified objectives.
- Testing and documenting work.
- Write and maintain operator instructions for computer programs.
- Other duties and requirements as identified and / or prescribed to meet program requirements.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents / diagrams.
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.
Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills
Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
