Laborer

Delaware Valley Concrete Company is a ready-mix concrete supplier with seven plants in southeastern Pennsylvania in Bucks, Chester, Lancaster and Montgomery counties. Immediate need for a full-time Laborer at our:

Hatboro Plant Located on:

248 E. County Line Road

Hatboro PA 19040

Essential Functions:

• Complete various degrees of yard work including but not limited to shoveling, tree removal, exterior yard clean up, weeding, landscaping, etc.
• Proactively communicate in a positive, professional manner with DVC team members.
• Perform manual labor as assigned.
• Shoveling, digging, and climbing heights.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

• Visual acuity must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.
• Learn and follow DVC company policies and procedures.
• Work in a plant environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, extreme temperatures, and confined spaces.

Experience:

• Previous experience with landscaping and/or laborer preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant (67 100%) Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Frequently (34 66%) Ability to work in a plant environment and tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, and confined spaces.
• Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to shovel.
• Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather.
• Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to physically climb to top of silos and perform work.
