Job Summary :
The Lead Behavior Analyst of the Residential and School setting will be responsible for supervising all Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). In adherence with the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
The Lead BCBA will be in charge of clinical supervision hours for RBTs or those master level students eligible for the accumulation of clinical hours and preparing to sit for the BCBA exam.
In addition to being responsible for clinical supervision of the RBTs the Lead BCBA may be responsible for carrying a small case load.
The Lead Behavior Analyst will have oversight and or conduct behavioral observations and assessment of behavior within residential and education settings to determine function of behavior and design intervention plans. They will provide oversight, modeling and training alongside the supervisee ensures appropriate implementation of behavioral programs and data collection. They will design and monitor all data collection and present data and progress reports during all appropriate meetings supporting those that are not credentialed yet. They will review behavior plans, Functional Behavioral Assessments, data collection, training methods and behavioral goals and objectives for IEPS and Treatment plans. The Lead Behavior Analyst will conduct trainings and meetings with staff to ensure adherence to all professional and best practice guidelines. The Lead Behavior Analyst will report to the Director of Behavioral Services and Training to monitor adherence to all ethical and professional guidelines set forth by ?delbrook, the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board), and the Department of Children and Families.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for all tracking and supervision of Registered Behavior Technic or BCBA eligible clinical hours :
a. Competency observations
b. Tracking of hours
c. Abiding by code of ethics and teaching them
d. Oversight of taking RBT exam / re-application
Education, Experience, and other Qualifications :
The Behavior Analyst of Residential must possess a Master's degree, be a BCBA in good standing, meet and / or eligible to meet the BACB supervisor requirements, and be licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Behavior Analyst. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience developing Applied Behavior Analytic programming and previous experience supervising BCBA candidates is preferred. In addition to this the candidate must already have completed the 8-hour supervision training will to take it or maintained the ongoing supervision training through CEU's. The ideal candidate must have experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, developmental disabilities or with behavioral challenges (2 years' experience). Preferably they will have previous experience supervising others within work settings (educational, residential or human services preferred). Have experience developing behavioral trainings, supervising staff in behavioral programs, designing and implementing behaviorally-based applied behavioral analysis treatment programs, and working with multidisciplinary teams. S / he must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Current certification in First-Aid, CPR, and PMT required (provided upon hire).
