What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Must have a valid PA driver’s license and basic mechanical knowledge of equipment and tools. Prefer degree and/or advanced certification in one or more of the following areas: mechanics (auto or industrial), pneumatics, carpentry, electrical work, small engine repair, plumbing, auto body, HVAC, or related field. Prefer a minimum of 2 years of related experience in two or more of the aforementioned areas. Must be able to operate lawn equipment, construction equipment (i.e. dump trucks, skid steers, man lifts), and power tools. Must be able to lift 75 to 100 pounds and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb from minimum to extended periods of time. Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions including, high and low temperatures, rain, and snow. Position will be filled as II, III or IV based on qualifications/experience.
Essential Functions:
- Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical park equipment, machinery, and buildings according to standards.
- Respond to correct equipment stoppage, mechanical breakdown; trouble shoot when
- Climb fixed and portable ladders, crawl under and over machinery to perform assigned maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks on park equipment and machinery.
- Perform ride safety inspections per PA Ride Inspector guidelines.
- Perform skills in certified areas of expertise.
- Safely operate/use hand tools and power tools including but not limited to:
- mechanic’s tools
- grinders, drills, and sanders
- construction equipment (i.e., dump trucks, skid steers, man lifts)
- View product for proper size and color.
- Listen to hear and identify normal and abnormal equipment operating sounds.
- Read, review, comprehend and interpret written communication, blueprints, manuals, directions, etc.
- Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job including, but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
- Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean work area.
