What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at METAL POWDER PRODUCTS LLC?
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow work instructions as provided
- Perform mechanical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and service for the plant envelope including buildings, equipment and grounds.
- Extensive knowledge of multi-action presses.
- Dismantle, repair and reassemble multi-action presses, and die set presses.
- Knowledge of welding, use of cutting torches and pipe threading.
- Blueprint reading a must.
- Completes routine paperwork as required.
- Knows location of all shop equipment.
- Must be able to start and stop all Equipment.
- Observe all plant safety rules & practices, and most specifically the lock /out-tag/out process
- Utilize good housekeeping practices
- Material handling such as the operation of forklifts and scissor lift
- Train Co-workers
- Perform other duties as directed
Skills Executed: Communication, multi-tasking, ability to understand, attention to detail, organizational skills, team orientated, self-starter / efficient and follow directions.
Education: High School Graduate / GED
Safety Requirements: When required in specific areas. This includes, but is not limited to safety glasses, with side shields, hearing protection, and gloves.
