What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Aquatics Manager position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Must be 18 years old and possess a valid Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Lifeguard License. A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the department and previous management or leadership experience is preferred. Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines, work well under pressure and respond quickly/effectively to emergency situations. Must be able to work the entirety of a scheduled shift according to business needs.After orientation is completed, starting rate of pay for Aquatics Managers will be $15.00/hour.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and supervise daily operations for the department.
- Perform department opening and closing duties.
- Create a working environment that encourages team members to have fun, provide excellent guest service and fosters personal growth.
- Provide Superior Service to all guests by answering questions and having the answers or knowing where to find them.
- Assign and monitor team member breaks in coordination with Directorial Team to ensure compliance of child labor laws.
- Maintain proper organization of department paperwork and files including training documentation.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels in coordination with the Directorial Team and business needs.
- Review daily timesheets for accuracy and adherence to federal and state child labor laws.
- Coach and develop team members by providing help and support while upholding company policies and values.
- Meet/exceed the standards set forth within the Ellis & Associates manual/licensure agreement.
- Conduct daily Ellis & Associates procedures.
- Maintain a high level of readiness physically and mentally to work quickly, effectively, and efficiently under pressure in both emergency situations and during operational hours.
- Anticipate, recognize, and respond to emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner according to ILTP standards.
- Visually monitor water quality and notify the Waterpark Facilities Manager or Assistant Director of Aquatics immediately.
- Work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, and cold temperatures
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work as scheduled via When to Work.
- Be honest, reliable and have an appropriate means of transportation to and from work.
- Be able to work in a team atmosphere, provide help and support to co-workers when appropriate.
- Adhere to the dress code policy as outlined in the seasonal employee & aquatics departmental handbooks.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
