What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Games & Retail Team Leader position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years of age. Minimum of a High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid PA driver’s license at age 17 is preferred, age 18 and over is required. Must be able to perform basic math for game and merchandise sales, pricing, and inventory functions. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience within the department is strongly preferred. Management and/or Leadership experience is preferred, but not required. Must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and must be able to abide by and enforce policies and procedures. Must be committed to providing excellent guest service. Must be proficient in the operation of a Point-of-Sale (POS) register and Microsoft Excel and Word Programs. Must always maintain and project a positive attitude and a professional demeanor. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25lbs and a maximum of 50lbs on occasion. Must positively and effectively communicate with team members, co-workers, and guests in the workplace.
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to work and oversee team members in either games or a retail store.
- Oversee the team members, and the daily operations of the department.
- Act in place of the Department Manager when the Department Manager is off duty or not present.
- Must attend company and department meetings and training courses as scheduled by the Department Director.
- Train team members the standard operating procedures for tasks within the department. This includes but is not limited to operation of the Point-of-Sale (POS) register, visual merchandising, cleaning, stocking, and guest service.
- Adhere to and promote all company and department rules, regulations, and policies.
- Report day-to-day employee concerns, resignations, policy/procedure violations, issues, etc. to the Department Manager for action and follow through
- Provide team members with guidance and training on proper department policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining employee morale and overall positivity while adhering to the standards, clear expectations, and limitations between team members.
- Assist in maintaining the equipment in the Games and Retail Department. This includes but is not limited to the operation of each game, POS units, locker operations, mobility equipment, troubleshooting problems, and cleanliness.
- Assist the Department Manager to ensure that team members understand and abide by the overages and shortages policy within the department. Investigate any discrepancies.
- Assist in completion of schedules for team members through the When to Work scheduling system according to Child Labor Laws.
- Review and monitor team members’ time sheets on the Ultipro system for payroll in the absence of the Department Manager.
- Enforce adherence of Federal and State Laws, company polices, and department procedures with the team members.
- Adhere to and promote safety policies and programs within the company. Report any safety issues to the Department Manager or Department Director.
- Address and handle guest issues and complaints when necessary.
- Assist the Department Director & Department Manager with decisions on merchandise choices, placement, and visual displays in the retail stores and games.
- Assist the Department Manager with work within the Center Edge System to devise purchase orders, complete inventory receipts in conjunction with the vendor invoice, track inventory movement, inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and review daily sales.
- Operate and train team members on the Pont of Sale (POS) register according to the standard operating procedures for the Games Department.
- Must work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, cold.
- Safely operate a golf cart to transport merchandise If 18 years of age or over, with a valid PA driver’s license. May also be a passenger on a golf cart to assist fellow team members as per company policy.
