What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Security Area Manager position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Must have a valid PA Driver’s license. Management and/or Leadership experience is preferred. Must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and must follow and enforce policies and procedures. Must be committed to providing excellent guest and staff service. Must have a working knowledge of the Law Enforcement field or have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Security Operations. Must work long hours and have a good working relationship with outside law enforcement agencies. Must be able to multitask and prioritize events as they unfold and keep calm and be professional at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Act in place of the Security Manager in their absence and fully maintain operations of the Security Department.
- Enforce all rules and regulations.
- Investigate all calls that come into the Security Department.
- Address and handle customer issues and complaints, when necessary, in the absence of Security Manager.
- Report any major issues/problems to the Security Manager.
- Respond to security Alarm Calls in the absence of the Security Manager.
- Establish job assignments and cleaning regimens for Parking Attendants and monitor for follow through and completion.
- Enforce all child labor laws as they apply to scheduling, breaks and duties allowable by age.
- Assist in creating an accurate schedule, maintaining employee attendance records, employee training and employee records.
- Train team members on proper Company and department policies and procedures.
- Train and guide Team Leader(s) on how to maintain operations in the absence of the Security Area Manager.
- Address employee disciplinary action in a timely manner according to Company and department policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining all reports for the Security Department.
- Work with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Directors to coordinate security coverage for parking, special events, transports, and other requests.
- Work closely with Internship program (Students).
- Safely operate personal vehicle as needed to travel for work.
- Safely operate golf cart in accordance with Company and department policies and procedures.
- Conduct and record daily water meter reads for the facility in the absence of the Security Manager.
- Work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail and cold.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work at assigned time.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Must be honest and reliable.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and assist co-workers on an ongoing basis.
- Adhere to dress code policy.
- Assist in the proper distribution and pick up of ticket seller crates (waterside ticket booth, Guest Service) to and from the Park Office.
