We are hiring for a 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm) digital press operator.
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for setting up and operating the digital press, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all printed materials meet our quality standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exercise painstaking care to ensure quality.
- Set up and run small and large orders through printer: feed, print, unitize, coordinate with logistics.
- Work closely with pre-press to make sure artwork matches samples and is correct for material and all specifications.
- Learn to run tests and make adjustments to printer as necessary to maintain quality.
- Monitor and troubleshoot substrate and feeder issues. Monitor primer station. Learn to start up, shut down and maintain primer station.
- Trouble shoot production and quality issues. Can require online and over the phone conversations with machine experts internationally. Creative problem solving ability a must.
- Work closely with teammates to maintain and improve quality and productivity. Participate in weekly preventative maintenance.
- Some physical labor required: loading sheets, strapping units, etc.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Experience with machinery, especially digital prints, strongly preferred.
Knowledge
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of corrugated board types, converting production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Skills/Abilities
- Critical thinking, active learning, creative problem solving. Dynamic workplace with constant new challenges.
- Able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Familiar and comfortable with computer databases and different operating systems.
- Able to work in a team, both in this building and with other locations.
- Clear communication is critical.
- Must be able to understand CAD specs and do basic math. Will need to use a tape measure every day.
- Mechanical aptitude a strong positive.

Pay Range: $20-28 per hour
