Project Location: Quincy, Massachusetts, full time. 4 days in-person, 1 day remote.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Junior Project Accountant will play a key role in job cost accounting, including accounts payable processing, budget review, and requisition preparation. This position offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your accounting expertise and gain hands-on experience within a dynamic team environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- collect, cost code, obtain approval and input into Timberline system following. company policies and procedures.
- Process and monitor all warranty costs following company policies and procedures.
- Produce weekly AP reports and report job cash flow.
- Process weekly check runs based on PM approval.
- Handle subcontractor inquiries timely.
- Vendor maintenance.
- Lien waiver tracking.
- Use Tax reporting, as needed.
- Vendor statement reconciliation as needed.
- Managing special payment terms and monitoring joint check agreements.
- Subcontractor Contractual Compliance.
- Budget review with Project Accountant and Project Teams.
- Assist in Requisition preparation as needed.
- AR input as needed.
- Job Close-Out- initiate and monitor this process issuing and collecting final lien waivers.
- Special projects as needed.
