What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Discovery Paralegal position at Dellino Family Law Group?
The Paralegal (Discovery) position is a non-exempt role that requires the support of clients on behalf of the Firm in family law matters, drafting legal documents and communication, communication with clients, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following :
Oversee and manage the discovery process for full caseload, including:
- Drafting and reviewing interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, subpoenas, and other discovery related tools and correspondence.
- Documentation of all discovery-related processes, workflows, and client materials to be published to the DFLG knowledge base.
- Coordinating and interfacing with the matter paralegals and attorneys on respective matters.
- Coordinating litigation strategy and discovery needs including, but not limited to, suggestions at the onset of litigation, follow up suggestions and discovery additions based on the course of litigation during the case, and trial preparation.
- Adherence to the firm’s policies and procedures for scheduling and client communication.
This role requires a one-year minimum commitment to discovery to have adequate time to develop and implement the processes, procedures, workflows, and service level of the discovery department.
The skills you bring:
- At least four years experience and knowledge of Washington State court rules and procedures related to motion practice in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. Other counties a bonus, but not required.
- Experience with ShareFile/Adobe/MS Office 365/Slack/Apple/Clio or ability to learn quickly
- Proficiency with e-filing
- Quality communication and writing skills
- Interpersonal skills and desire to help clients
- Litigation experience
- Desire to be part of a team and part of our community
- Sense of humor
- Ability to meet billable hour requirements
Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
