Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Jersey City, New Jersey and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:
Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, utilizing Agile methodology, SWOT (Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Analysis, and Atlassian Jira;
Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications using JUnit, Mockito, and Postman;
Developing domain classes and database access methods using Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), and Persistence Application Programming Interface (JPA), and Hibernate;
Creating web applications using Java, SpringBoot, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and ReactJS to provide service and data to users;
Designing and developing applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Java Frameworks, and REST APIs to meet functional needs for software applications; and
Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices, Code Reviews, Design Testing, GitHub, and Jenkins.
Salary : $124,000 - $128,000
