Work you’ll do/Responsibilities: 

• Design, build, and configure AWS infrastructure components (e.g., EC2 instances, VPCs, load balancers, databases) to meet business and application requirements.
• Develop and implement automation solutions using tools like Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and management. 
• Ensure infrastructure is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS.
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems for AWS infrastructure and applications.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify potential issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including application performance problems. CI/CD and outages.
• Participate in incident response and recovery efforts.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and cost.
• Ensure the security of AWS infrastructure and applications by implementing security best practices and tools.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams, developers, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
• Develop CI/CD solutions for build and deploy management.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure/DevOps configurations and procedures.
• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.
• Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.

Our operate services within CTO include:

• Foundry Services: Operate services providing flexible, recurring resource capacity for client initiatives, projects, tasks, and enhancement.
• Managed Services: Operate services that provide ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and optimization for IT/Engineering applications & products.

Qualifications

Required

• 10 years of experience in IT Application Development or Infrastructure or a combination of both
• 2 years as a SRE Lead
• 7 years working with AWS and must have a strong understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• 5 years working experience with AWS Infrastructure automation tool – Terraform.
• 5 years working experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
• 5 years using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• 2 years working experience with monitoring tools and alerting systems - Dynatrace & Cloudwatch
• 2 years working experience identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions.
• 2 years working experience with CI/CD tools - Jenkins & Harness
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Hybrid Role: requires onsite work in Bethesda, Maryland (minimum 2-3 days every two weeks and flexible if more required by the business) and remote other days.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $126,000 to $168,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
