Work you’ll do
The S&A Specialist Executive will be responsible for advising Deloitte’s Government and Public Sector clients through critical and complex issues. They will have the opportunity to advocate for the establishment and evolution of modern technological capabilities and prepare organizations for challenges to mitigate risks across nature services, climate resilience, and water infrastructure convergence. They will also lead cross functional teams who will collaborate across the GPS landscape to advance our Strategy & Analytics offerings and push the boundaries to create new markets and market share. Our GPS practice brings deep industry expertise, rigorous analytical capabilities and a pragmatic mindset to solve our client’s most complex business problems. Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes—is designed for impact. Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000 professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.
The GPS Strategy offering leads strategic planning & portfolio management and reporting & monitoring workstreams. This includes day-to-day client interaction and leads to the creation of relevant resources and materials (such as strategic plans, roadmaps, etc.) and work products (such as development of performance metrics, tracking dashboards, etc.) in order to successfully implement client vision.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other business-related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
- 20 years of experience bridging the gap between enterprise technology consulting and the public sector
- 10 years of experience supporting emergent technology adoption in either the Civil, International Development, Climate, Sustainability and/or Environmental Equity space
- 10 years of experience providing technology solutions to the government marketplace.
- 10 years of experience creating client-ready materials, including roadmaps, presentations, business process re-engineering plans, etc.
- 5 years of experience coaching or mentoring junior staff
- 2 years of experience advocating for AI-driven solutions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Ability to “tell a story” through the creation of compelling client presentations
- Experience working independently with minimal guidance
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
- Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
- Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other STEM Prior professional services
- Experience working with Lean Six Sigma
- Previous hands on experience with value stream mapping and predictive modeling
