Work you'll do
The Lead Software Engineer I role centers around developing and implementing machine learning solutions for our software product, SmarText, centering around Large Language Models (LLMs). Professionals are responsible for developing new proofs of concept using LLMs, building infrastructure for LLM solutions in AWS and Azure, developing integrations with LLM solutions in Python and the Django framework, and general application maintenance and development in Python. This position will lead and develop more junior practitioners, develop documentation and presentations around new product features, and contributing to other supporting items.

Discovery is constantly evolving and changing as data volumes and sources continue to grow exponentially. We aim to help our clients solve their most pressing data management challenges by bringing key stakeholders together and helping them to navigate challenges such as cloud migration, implications of new technologies, evolving data sources, and pressure due to time constraints or regulatory requirements. Our practice has established itself as a leader in delivering the full spectrum of Discovery services to government agencies. Our teams apply eDiscovery leading practices and leverage analytics technology, as well as traditional legal research and writing, to assist government attorneys and agency staff through the litigation or information request process.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 30% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- 4 years with Machine Learning
- 4 years of experience with Python, Django
- Experience building infrastructure in cloud solutions
Preferred:
- Experience with SmarText
- AWS and Azure experience
- Process Documentation
