Shopify Developer - Senior Consultant

Deloitte Digital offers services that enable client solutions using digital technologies, including the Web, Mobile, Social Networking, Digital Strategy, Digital Content and Digital ERP. The Digital Web team works with clients to advise, design, implement and deploy eCommerce and Portal solutions.

Our eCommerce capabilities provide transactional solutions related to online marketing, sales and service; for both Direct-To-Consumer and Business-to-Business. Our Portal capabilities provide intranet and internet solutions focused on content presentment and transaction capabilities for both internal enterprise as well as customer facing purposes.

Work you'll do

You'll help clients define their requirements by leading and facilitating working sessions to gain an understanding of the client's current state processes and technology in the Shopify space as well as supporting the implementation that follows. We are looking for a Shopify developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming, transitioning seamlessly between platform configuration, and frontend and backend development.

• Acting as a Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the eCommerce platform
• Collaborating with the UX and UI design teams to produce seamless, robust, and innovative front-end user experiences
• Generating custom-tailored Shopify themes, and altering pre-existing templates
• Working closely with project managers to address client requests
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, and be able to address their specific needs and requirements at a moment's notice
• Understanding business needs that drive project features & functions and provide internal consultation

We do this by creating content, communications, and experiences that engage and inspire their customers to act. We implement and operate the technology platforms that enable personalized content, commerce and marketing user-centric experiences. In doing so, we transform our clients' marketing and engagement operations into modern, data-driven, creatively focused organizations. Our team brings deep experience in creative and digital marketing capabilities, many from our Digital Studios.

We serve our clients through the following types of work:

• eCommerce strategy, implementation and operations
• Cross-channel customer engagement strategy, design and development to include the creation of omni-channel digital experiences across web, mobile, social, physical, AR/VR, voice, gesture, IoT, and video
• Marketing Content and digital asset management solutions
• Marketing Technology and Advertising Technology solutions
• Marketing analytics implementation and operations
• Advertising campaign ideation, development and execution
• Acquisition and engagement campaign ideation, development and execution
• Agile based, design-thinking, user-centric, empirical projects that accelerate results

Qualifications:

Required

• 6-8 Years experience in e-commerce development skills and experience in working with Shopify and Shopify Plus stores
• 5-7 years of good knowledge of frontend development, liquid programming language, theme customization, development of Shopify apps
• 4 years experience on RestAPI and Shopify theme SDK
• Expertise in Shopify's Liquid templating language and strong hand on experience in installing & customizing new Shopify themes
• Exp JavaScript (jQuery), XML, JSON, SQL, PHP, CSS3, HTML5, with an in-depth understanding of DOM
• Experience with Git Version Control (BitBucket or GitHub)
• Experience in handling checkout and payment functionality customizations
• Experience in implementing headless commerce projects with Shopify
• Experience in integrating external APIs - Experience in 3rd party integrations like ERP- NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Epicor etc.
• Experience in Implementing Shopify Ajax API, Admin APIs and configuring third party apps
• Knowledge of building custom, private and embedded apps
• Experience working with the following technologies: Good to have experience in ReactJS, NodeJS, Vue.Js
• Excellent understanding of B2B and B2C business functionality required.
• Knowledgeable in security/ data protection principles and GPDR
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A portfolio showcasing your Shopify development work

Preferred

• Certifications are a plus
• Experience working in a professional services firm or working in a client service environment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $189,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
