DHA seeks a Cost Estimator for a multi-year program focusing on Capital Improvement Projects in wastewater treatment and pumping stations. The role involves preparing cost estimates, reviewing contractor proposals, and serving as a subject matter expert in budgeting for water/wastewater projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Opinions of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) for wastewater and stormwater projects.
- Review contractor proposals and provide technical analysis of costs.
- Support multiple projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and budgeting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for water/wastewater project cost estimation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of cost estimating experience, including 3 years in water/wastewater industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
- Experience in engineering systems analysis and project management.
- CCP or CEP certification preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
- 10% office-based work in a general office environment.
- 90% field-based work in various weather conditions (heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid).
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- Full-time, five days per week at client’s office in Washington, DC.
