Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in school setting.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming.
• Conduct custodial duties including dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles.
• Assist in facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Carry out tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal.
• Work as a porter to assist with moving items or setting up spaces for events or meetings.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals appropriately to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial services is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is advantageous.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
